Newport is three housing markets in one and they need different things. The Victorian terraces around Maindee and Pill are solid wall, no cavity, and they lose heat through every elevation. The interwar semis out toward Malpas and Bettws take render beautifully and are the bread and butter of what we do. And the newer estates want a finish that still looks sharp in ten years rather than one that greens up on the north side.
Being this close to the Severn estuary matters too. Wind driven rain off the water is harder on a west facing wall than anything the valleys throw at us, which is why we lean on silicone for exposed Newport elevations. It sheds water instead of holding it.
Solid wall insulation on the older terraces, full re-renders on the interwar semis, and dash repair or removal across the lot. We cover the city, the estuary side and the older terraces, and we are close enough to come out and look at the job rather than pricing it off a photograph you send us.
George does not publish a price per square metre, because the number would be meaningless without seeing the walls. Every job in Newport is priced after a free survey and given to you in writing.
We work right across Gwent. If your job is not in Newport itself, it is very likely in one of these.
