Cwmbran is a new town, and that tells you almost everything about the render work here. A great deal of the housing went up between the fifties and the seventies, and a lot of it is system built or no fines concrete. Those walls are cold, they are hard to insulate from the inside without losing the room, and they are exactly what external wall insulation was designed for.
We have done enough of this stock to know what is behind the finish before we open it up. Where the substrate will not take render directly we board it first, which is a step plenty of firms skip and then blame the material when it cracks.
External wall insulation on the system built stock, full render systems over carrier board, and modern finishes replacing tired dash. We cover the new town stock and everything built around it, and we are close enough to come out and look at the job rather than pricing it off a photograph you send us.
George does not publish a price per square metre, because the number would be meaningless without seeing the walls. Every job in Cwmbran is priced after a free survey and given to you in writing.
We work right across Gwent. If your job is not in Cwmbran itself, it is very likely in one of these.
