Silicone Rendering

Silicone Rendering in Brynmawr and across Gwent

Silicone render is what we put on most houses now, and for good reason. It is flexible, so it moves with the building instead of cracking. It is breathable, so moisture in the wall can get out rather than sitting behind the finish. And it sheds water, which means dirt and algae wash off in the rain rather than building up into the grey streaks you see on old sand and cement.

It is coloured all the way through, so there is no painting to keep up. Once it is on, it is on.

Pricing

What You'll Pay - No Hidden Costs

Every house prices differently. Two elevations on a mid terrace is not the same job as a detached with dormers and a conservatory in the way, and the state of what is already on the wall matters as much as the size of it.

Free site survey, no call-out charge, and a written price for the whole job before anything starts.

So we price after we have seen it. The survey is free, there is no call-out charge, and you get a written price covering scaffold, preparation, the render and making good. If the existing render needs hacking off or patching before we can work, that is in the quote, not a surprise halfway through.

Common Questions

FAQ - Silicone Rendering

No. The colour goes right through the material rather than sitting on top of it, so there is nothing to flake or fade off. That is the main reason people move to it from painted sand and cement.

It is far less likely to. Silicone sheds water rather than soaking it up, so rain carries dirt off the face instead of driving it in. North facing walls under trees will always be the hardest working, but it stays clean a lot longer.

Sometimes. If the existing render is sound and well keyed we can work over it. If it is blown, hollow or cracked through, it has to come off first, and we will tell you that at the survey rather than after the scaffold is up.

A three bed semi is usually about a week, weather allowing. We will give you a realistic run of days when we quote.
